Starting off the New Year in my new favorite FAVORITE dress!
This Free People wrap dress is truly the dress of my dreams! Not only is it figure flattering, it is the softest velvet material EVER! The print and color are also so so good! Never have I ever had a dress that fit me so perfectly! Like, to a T.
I got the dress on sale from Free People during their Cyber Monday deals. I love how the velvet material keeps it on trend for Winter and the pink florals make it Spring, so it’s like the perfect transitional piece! If I were to live in a colder climate, I would still wear this dress with perhaps a turtleneck inside and tights. A cute faux fur coat would be the perfect added layering piece to keep you warm. Since I live on a beautiful tropical island, all those layering pieces are not exactly necessary (nor is it wise) so I stuck to accenting it with a newsboy hat and the socks-with-pointed-shoes trend 😉
I am so ready to take my fashion blogging up a notch for 2018! How I plan to do that is to first of all, post more often. I really did get a bit lazy on here in 2017, however that was mostly due to the fact that I had just become a new mommy! Being a mom is honestly the most rewarding thing in the world and I want to make my baby boy proud by showing him you can always live out your passions if you work hard enough for it! Which is why 2018 is going to be the year I get back to blogging and take it a bit further with the content I create. I want to create more bolder outfits whilst recycling pieces by mixing-and-matching them. I am far from rich and do not want to give in to the temptations of needing to buy new clothes all the time in order to create new content. (I have a baby to provide for now!) There are so many ways you can use all the pieces you currently have in your wardrobe and create a brand new look every time! That is my 2018 fashion goal!
